What We Do

Imara welfare Community Interest Company's objectives are:

i. To organise events and activities that members will attend to socialise as well as promote and maintain our culture.

ii. To support each other in difficult times e.g. when going through stressful situations, in sickness, bereavement or when in need of spiritual counselling.

iii. To learn from each other and possibly adapt things that would enhance our life to become better people in the community and society at large.

iv. To support those of us that want to further our education by any means possible whether financially or morally.

v. To pull funds to engage in investment projects that members can not do as individuals but can manage as a group.

vi. To support and celebrate with members who are celebrating their Newborns, Christening/Baptism, Birthdays, Marriages and Anniversaries.

About us

Imara welfare CIC was started in May 2005 when a group of East African friends mostly from Kenya joined together after realising they needed to form a support group to look out for each other during good and difficult times. Initially, they were known as Imara welfare Association but latter become a Community Interest company through Company house. Over the years, members have seen tremendous growth in general in reference to their spiritual, Mental and social lives. This has been achieved through honouring Imara's Vision which states "Love and Love beyond Boundaries". Imara members are focussed to the future and believe that anything is possible as long as they stay bonded together by love as People.
